Do you know a student who goes the extra mile for other students? Then you should keep reading!

Every year, the Student Union Malmö awards the Student Union Prize to students who are involved in activities outside their studies and contribute to a better student life at Malmö University. This could be someone who improves education, creates a more inclusive study environment, or strengthens student life in Malmö.

A total of SEK 10,000 will be awarded:

  • two individual scholarships of SEK 2,500
  • one group scholarship of SEK 5,000

The winners will also receive a diploma with a personal motivation and will be honored at a ceremony in May.

Who can be nominated?

You can nominate:

  • a student
  • a group of students

The nominee must be a student at Malmö University and a member of the Malmö Student Union.

How to nominate

Send your nomination to inforum@malmostudenter.se.

The email must contain:

  • the name and email address of both you as the nominator and the nominee
  • the program and faculty of both
  • a 200–400-word statement describing why the person or group deserves the Student Union Award

Remember to check that the nominee is a member of the Malmö Student Union and has accepted the nomination.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 24 at 17:00 (05 pm).

What does the jury look for?

The jury will assess whether the student or group has:

  • contributed to improvements for students at Malmö University
  • been involved in educational policy work
  • contributed to social activities within or outside the Malmö Student Union
  • been involved outside the university in a way that has had a positive impact on students in Malmö

Important dates

April 1–24 – Nominations are open
April 24 at 5 17:00 (5 pm) – Last day to submit nominations
May 22 – Winners are announced at a ceremony
