The Student Union Malmö is a non-profit, political and religiously independent organisation that works for better education and a more enjoyable and safer student life for students at Malmö University.
We represent students from four of Malmö University’s five faculties; Learning and Society (LS), Culture and Society (KS), Technology and Society (TS) and Health and Society (HS).
The Union works daily to make the study time at Malmö University as good as possible. The student union represents students in all the committees and bodies that exist at Malmö University. In all decisions that are made regarding you as a student, the Union is present and brings in the student perspective. As a member of the Union, you will be represented in the university’s committees and bodies, receive personal support and attend seminars and labour market days.
The Student Union Malmö is there to help you as a student, no matter what it is during your studies, with everything from study-related problems to finding accommodation and leisure activities. If you have problems related to your studies, you should contact your student ombud directly. They work for your rights.
The Union’s daily work is about making life as good as possible for our students. The Union’s main responsibility is to work with student influence and educational quality, which means that the Union represents students in all groups, committees and bodies at the university. At the Student Union there are lots of things to get involved in! We have several different student organisations that do everything from parties and game nights to foreign policy and sports. You are also always welcome to start your own student group or association with us if you can’t find what you are looking for.
Student politics – get involved in your student life!
The student union exists to help you as a student. If you get into trouble, we are there to have your back. Even though the Student Union has several people working full-time with this, we are nothing without you and your commitment. Through our student representatives, councillors and other driven students, we can reach out with the student voice no matter where we are in the university.
