As a General, you plan the entire Insparken. The Generals are responsible for budgeting, recruitment, planning, partnerships and scheduling. This long and intensive work spans an entire year, starting in the winter, then lasts throughout the year and doesn’t end until the “tacksittningen” around the end of November the following year. Please make sure to read through the questions thoroughly and answer seriously. 

The role of General is a delegated assignment under Student Union Malmö and Festmesteriet. The decision of your role is partly based on the fact that you are a member of the Student Union Malmö and are well acquainted with the organizations’ statutes, values, policies and steering documents and intend to follow and implement these. 

Generals must ensure Insparken is inclusive, promoting diversity, equality, and a secure environment with zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, or abusive treatment. Ensuring voluntary participation, bilingual communication, and maintaining neutrality in their leadership.

The responsibility a General holds is extremely big. Therefore all Generals should be experienced in Insparken, at least have held the role of fadder (preferably also captain). Generals need to know the usual Insparken events, be familiar with how Insparken works “behind the scenes” and know the rules for Generals, Captains, Fadders and Nollor. Along with this, the Generals must be available and present during all days of Insparken events, prep before, clean up, and close the events.
