Within the Student Union Malmö there are various committees that are the main drivers for study of social and political events.

Currently we have five committees, these include:

Committee for education monitoring 

Monitor the quality level of education at Malmö University.

Areas of responsibility

  • Pedagogy.
  • Culture Start.
  • Responsible for recruiting volunteers for the committee.
  • Investigate and present ways to continuously improve education at Malmö University (for example through surveys and student discussions).

Committee for student engagement 

To engage more students and make it easier for students to get involved in the Union.

Areas of responsibility

  • Responsible for Coffee with the Union.
  • Together with the event committee, responsible for Insparken, tjuvkik and orientation week.
  • Investigate and present ways to continuously improve student engagement (for example through surveys, student discussions and events).
  • Be responsible for recruiting volunteers for the committee.

Committee for students health and well-being 

Discuss opportunities and create projects to ensure the mental and physical health of students at Malmö University.

Areas of responsibility

  • Questions regarding student health.
  • Openly communicate with the student health service at Malmö University.
  • Investigate and present ways to continuously improve student health and well-being (through, for example, surveys and student discussions).
  • Be responsible for recruiting volunteers for the committee

Event committee

To assist the Board, Council and its committees in organizing events and creating a volunteer base to support the management of events.

Areas of responsibilities

  • Responsible for recruiting volunteers for the Union’s events.
  • Responsible for Coffee with the Union. 
  • Responsible for Insparken, tjuvkik and orientation week (together with Student engagement).
  • Responsible for thank you events. 
  • Responsible for the Music Pub (if applicable).
  • Responsible for the Faculty Cup.
  • Responsible for managing and delegating the soup lunch, where associations and sections have a crucial role (if applicable).

Committee for business sector connection and career transition  

Create links between students and industry to help students in their early educational careers.

Areas of responsibilities

  • Have a seat on the Drivhuset board 
  • Openly communicate with Malmö University Transition Services and study counselors.
  • Support and participate in the events proposed by the business and career transition services and study counselors at Malmö University.
  • Investigate and present ways to continuously improve students’ career transitions (e.g. through surveys and student discussions).
  • Be responsible for recruiting volunteers for the committee.
